Tampa Police Investigating Possible Home Invasion

It was just after midnight when residents at a home on San Juan Street West said they heard a knock on the door.

When they opened the door, three people rushed in. Using duct tape to restrain at least one of the people in the home, the suspects then demanded money and punched the victims.

A short time after the attack happened, the victims told Tampa Police officers they were able to escape by running out of the home’s front door.

The suspects, however, followed them and fired shots. No one was struck, and the attackers left in a vehicle, police said.

The crime remains under investigation and police say some of the victims are being uncooperative.

Descriptions of the suspects have not been released.
