Tampa Reclaimed Water Outage Scheduled

Customers may notice an interruption starting Thursday morning.

City of Tampa reclaimed water system customers may want to rely on Thursday’s anticipated storms to water their lawns that day.

The city has announced its reclaimed system will undergo routine maintenance starting at 8 a.m. Thursday. Service to the city’s 4,900 customers will likely suffer interruptions throughout the day. The service is anticipated to be brought back online around 8 p.m. Thursday.

“Reclaimed water customers are advised to make necessary adjustments to their landscape irrigation and other reclaimed water use activities to accommodate the interruption,” the city wrote in an email to media.

The National Weather Service is predicting a 40 percent chance of scattered thunderstorms in the Tampa area on Thursday.
