Teen Dies After Falling From Royal Caribbean Ship Balcony: Reports
The 16-year-old boy was sailing on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas from Florida to the Bahamas when he died.
FLORIDA — A 16-year-old boy died Saturday after falling from a balcony on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas cruise ship, according to multiple reports.
The teen died after he fell from a balcony and landed on the deck, TMZ first reported, citing passengers on board. It's unclear if the fall was accidental.
The ship was bound for Nassau, Bahamas, from Port Canaveral, reports said.

According to TMZ, the boy died later at a hospital.
Photos shared with WOFL in Orlando showed caution tape blocking part of an interior balcony on the ship. The photos also showed what looked like a tent blocking an area of the cruise ship’s deck.

Royal Caribbean sent the following statement to WFLA, according to the station.
“We are saddened to learn of the passing of a guest and our hearts go out to the family," the cruise line said. "Out of respect for them, we won’t provide any further comment."
