ThreeSixOh Public Relations launches Politically Unfiltered
ThreeSixOh Public Relations is launching a multimedia non-partisan political news source, Politically Unfiltered.

ThreeSixOh Public Relations, a full-service public relations firm based in Sarasota and owned by former television journalist Candice McElyea, is launching a multimedia non-partisan political news source, Politically Unfiltered. McElyea, co-founder of Politically Personal, a non-partisan political blog launched in 2012, is expanding and retooling that brand with this launch.
“My goal for Politically Unfiltered is to encompass all that Politically Personal did – with personal behind the scenes stories and features about elected officials and candidates – but to also take it three steps further,” said McElyea. “Our articles, interviews and radio shows will present local and statewide politics in a new way – from all angles, incorporating all viewpoints and across multiple digital mediums.”
Politically Unfiltered (www.PoliticallyUnfiltered.com) includes a website and blog focused on local and statewide issues, and candidates and elected officials in Sarasota and Manatee counties. The new brand features three main contributors and hosts, including McElyea, Christian Ziegler, Chairman of the State Committeeman & Committeewoman Caucus and Chairman of the Digital Engagement Committee for the Republican Party of Florida, and Susan Nilon, general manager of WSRQ Radio. Several other contributing writers will be featured on the website as well.

“With a well rounded host lineup, we feel that all angles and viewpoints will be covered while discussing and reporting on the issues important to local voters,” said McElyea.
Additionally, Politically Unfiltered will host a political roundtable featuring a fourth guest host on a weekly radio show on Mondays from 4:45 p.m. – 6 p.m. on WSRQ Radio. Shorter versions of these broadcasts will also appear on the Politically Unfiltered YouTube channel.

“What I think people will like about Politically Unfiltered is that we all have very different viewpoints on a variety of issues – from the right to the left and in between, but the banter is respectable, open and honest,” said Ziegler, host and prominent Florida Republican official. “We appreciate where the others are coming from and want to represent all parties in a fun and informative way.”
Guest hosts will also include local elected officials and thought leaders on important issues facing our region.
“There is a tremendous need for this type of political coverage in the area,” said Nilon, host and contributing writer for Politically Unfiltered. “This is an example of three people coming together from equally different political ideologies who find the common ground to follow politics the way it should be followed.”
