ISRAEL — A U.S. Army Reserve soldier from Tampa who was supporting the United States security staff for the Department of State at the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem, Israel, died Monday, according to a Department of Defense news release.

Lt. Col. Orlando Bandeira, 54, was killed in a non-combat-related incident, which is under investigation, the department said.

Bandeira was assigned to the 3rd Brigade, 94th Training Division in Indianapolis, Indiana.
