Wacky Turkey Week Weather Expected

The Tampa Bay area is in for a roller coaster ride in conditions and temperatures.

While Thanksgiving Day throughout Tampa Bay is expected to be sunny and cool, conditions leading up to Thursday are expected to run the gamut.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday is expected to bring a slight chance of rain along with a high around 80 in most parts of Tampa Bay. Storms are more likely in the overnight hours when the low will drop to about 70.

Tuesday is anticipated to usher in a two-day period of rain. Chances are set at 90 percent throughout Tuesday and drop to about 70 percent Wednesday. Storms on Wednesday have the potential to be strong, forecasters warn. The high Tuesday should reach the upper 70s while Wednesday’s high might only climb to the mid-60s.

Thursday brings about a big change as forecasters anticipate a sunny day with a high around the mid-60s. Overnight lows are expected to drop to the upper 40s. Friday should bring more of the same.
