
Tampa Bay area residents might finally be able to pull out those sweaters this weekend as cooler temperatures roll into the region.
According to the National Weather Service, the weekend kicks off Friday with rain, but it could all be worth it for those ready for a break from days of 80-degree highs. Forecasters anticipate Friday’s high to only climb into the mid-70s with an overnight low in the low 40s. Rain chances persist throughout the day, but clear out in the overnight hours.
Saturday is anticipated to bring lots of sunshine and a high around 69 degrees. The evening’s low should drop to about 50 with mostly clear skies anticipated.

Conditions are expected to warm up again heading into Sunday with a high in the mid-70s expected. Overnight lows should fall to the low 60s. Rain isn’t expected to be in the cards.
The bad news for cool-weather lovers is that 80-degree temperatures are expected to return in time for the workweek’s kickoff. Rain chances also rise. Monday’s high is expected to be in the upper 70s to low 80s with a 30 percent chance of showers in the forecast.
