Tampa Bay area residents who want to get out and enjoy the outdoors this weekend are likely to find the weather most cooperative. That doesn’t mean, however, that a few drops of rain won’t fall.
According to the National Weather Service, there is a slight chance for showers Friday night and again Saturday afternoon. Should those Saturday showers materialize, there is a potential for thunderstorm development with the best chance for formation “along and to the east of the I-75 corridor,” according to the agency’s Hazardous Weather Outlook report Friday.
As of Friday morning, the agency set Saturday rain chances at only 20 percent for most parts of the Bay area.
