Weekend Weather: What to Expect

Find out what's in store for the Tampa Bay area this weekend, Nov. 13-15.

Tampa Bay area residents hoping for a break from the heat may want to clear their calendars to enjoy some outdoor time this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday kicks off a string of mostly mild, sunny days with cool overnight lows. While Friday will start out a little on the warm side with an anticipated high around 84 degrees in much of the region, things begin to change in the overnight hours. A low around 60 is forecast for much of the Bay area. Forecasters don’t anticipate rain to be much of an issue either.

Saturday is expected to bring sunny conditions and even cooler temperatures. The daytime high should reach only the upper 70s with an overnight low around 61 in much of the region. Rain, once again, isn’t in the forecast.

Sunday brings more of the same with slightly warmer temperatures anticipated. The high should climb to about 80 with a low in the mid-60s.

While storms and hazardous weather aren’t in the cards for the weekend, boaters are being warned wind may create issues for small craft operators. Boaters are advised to check conditions before heading out on local waters over the weekend.

The workweek is anticipated to start off a bit warmer with a high on Monday forecast to reach the mid-80s. Similar conditions are expected Tuesday and Wednesday.
