
TAMPA, FL — Tampa Bay area residents with big outdoor plans may want to reconsider as the weekend kicks off.
According to the National Weather Service, Friday kicks things off with a 40 percent chance of showers throughout the day and a high in the mid-70s. While those rain chances dry up going into the overnight hours, they return on Saturday. Friday’s overnight low is anticipated to fall into the mid-60s.
As for Saturday’s rain chances, forecasters say showers are likely with a 60 percent chance of precipitation forecast for the daytime and evening hours. The high should reach about 76 with a low around the mid-60s.

Sunday is anticipated to start off a little soggy with a 30 percent chance of rain in the cards. Rain is expected to move out of the picture later in the day when mostly sunny conditions should return. Sunday’s high is expected to reach the low 70s with an overnight low around 50.
As for the start of the workweek, forecasters anticipate a sunny, but crisp Monday with a high in the low 60s.
