Weekend Weather: What To Expect

TAMPA, FL — Tampa Bay area residents with big outdoor plans this weekend are likely to find the weather most cooperative.

According to the National Weather Service, the region is in for a sunny, mild weekend with comfortable temperatures and no real chance for storms in sight. Friday kicks things off with an anticipated high in the mid-70s and sunshine on tap. Overnight, the temperature is expected to drop into the low 50s in much of the area.

Here’s what forecasters anticipate for the rest of the weekend:

Saturday

  • High temperature – Mid-70s
  • Low temperature – Mid-50s
  • Rain chances – Not anticipated.

Sunday

  • High temperature – Mid-70s
  • Low temperature – Upper 50s
  • Rain chances – Not expected.

While the weekend is expected to be a nice one for outdoor fun, the workweek brings plenty of rain chances with it. A front is expected to move into the area Monday, bringing with it a 30 percent chance of showers in the overnight hours. Thunderstorm chances are set at 50 percent during the daytime hours.
