What's Open, Closed In Tampa On Labor Day 2021

All Tampa government offices will be closed for the Labor Day holiday.

TAMPA, FL — All Tampa city government offices will be closed on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 6.

Residential customers will not receive collection service on Monday, Sept. 6. The revised collection schedule is as follows:

  • Residential customers who normally receive service on Monday will not receive garbage, recycling or yard waste service that day. Customers will receive service on their next scheduled service day. Regular Residential Solid Waste collection service schedules will resume Tuesday, Sept. 7.
  • Commercial Customers who normally receive service on Monday will receive service on Tuesday, Sept. 7. Collection service will continue to run one day behind through Saturday, Sept. 11. Regular Commercial Solid Waste collection service schedules will resume Monday, Sept. 13.
  • McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scale House located at 114 S. 34th St. will be closed on Labor Day and will reopen with regularly scheduled hours on Tuesday, Sept. 7.
