But Tampa Bay Who fans will have to wait until this fall for their chance to see the iconic British rock band. The band will come to Amalie Arena on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m.

In conjunction with the North American Tour, The Who will release an album of new songs, its first since “Endless Wire” in 2006. Townshend said listeners will be treated to “dark ballads, heavy rock stuff, experimental electronica, sampled stuff and Who-ish tunes that began with a guitar that goes yanga-dang.”
Every pair of tickets purchased online includes a redeemable code for a CD copy of The Who's forthcoming album when it's released. In addition, $1 from each ticket sold will benefit Teen Cancer America.
Despite the title, the band is not calling “Moving On!” a farewell tour. But Daltrey previously told Rolling Stone magazine that the tour could be their last.
"Roger christened this tour Moving On!," said Townshend, 73. "I love it. It is what both of us want to do. Move on, with new music, classic Who music, all performed in new and exciting ways. Taking risks, nothing to lose. Looking forward to seeing you all. Are you ready?"
"Be aware Who fans! Just because it's The Who with an orchestra, in no way will it compromise the way Pete and I deliver our music," said Daltrey, who turns 75 in March. "This will be full throttle Who with horns and bells on."
The Who is considered one of the top three greatest rock legacies in music history. Emerging in the mid-1960s, their brash style and poignant storytelling garnered generations of passionate followers.
Inducted into the Rock n' Roll Hall Of Fame in 1990, the band has sold more than 100 million records worldwide with 27 top 40 singles including "I Can't Explain," "The Kids Are Alright" and "My Generation," “Baba O’ Riley,” “Pinball Wizard,” “My Generation,” “Behind Blue Eyes" and “Won’t Get Fooled Again.”
Albums include the 1969 groundbreaking rock opera "Tommy," 1971's "Live At Leeds," 1973's "Quadrophenia" and 1978's "Who Are You."
Townshend and Daltrey are the only remaining full-time members of The Who. Drummer Keith Moon died in 1978 and he was replaced by Kenney Jones. Jones left the band in 1988. Then in 2002, bassist John Entwistle died.
Ticket prices are $63, $83, $154, $203 and $304 and can be purchased through TicketNetwork.
