Winn-Dixie Salutes Store's Graduates Throughout May

ACROSS FLORIDA — Southeastern Grocers Inc., parent company of BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie grocery stores, is honoring its employees who are part of the Class of 2020.

Throughout the month of May, the neighborhood grocer will recognize nearly 2,000 associates with local, in-store programs in place of traditional graduation ceremonies, which have been interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic.

SEG graduates will dress in cap and gowns and store leadership will honor each associate with graduation certificates, special buttons, fresh bakery items and a commencement speech by the grocer’s president and CEO, Anthony Hucker. In addition, the grocer will award one deserving student per district attending a two- or four-year institution with a $1,000 SEG Retail Scholarship. The SEG Retail Scholarship will be awarded annually to assist with educational expenses.
