Woman Charged With Murder In Fatal Stabbing In Seffner: Sheriff

A woman was charged with premeditated murder in the stabbing death of a man in Seffner, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

SEFFNER, FL — A woman was arrested for stabbing a man to death early Sunday morning in Seffner, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Natasha Nelson, 34, was charged with first-degree premeditated murder and tampering with physical evidence.

A 911 caller reported an altercation in the 6400 block of Black Dairy Road just before 12:30 a.m.

Responding deputies found Aroshan De Silva, 50, with upper body trauma, the sheriff’s office said. He was brought to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Investigators identified Nelson as the suspect and arrested her.

"Thanks to the swift work of our detectives, the person responsible for this violent crime is now behind bars," Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "We will not tolerate this kind of violence in our community, and we remain committed to holding those who take a life accountable."
