Workweek Weather: What To Expect

Find out what's in store for the Tampa Bay area as the workweek continues.

TAMPA, FL — The Tampa Bay area is in for a mild week ahead with only a few chances for rain in sight.

That’s according to National Weather Service forecasters who say Monday should kick things off with a high in the low 80s and a balmy low in the upper 60s. A slight chance of rain is in the forecast Monday though and it could get a little breezy outside. Forecasters say wind gusts Monday may reach speeds as high as 21 mph.

Tuesday is expected to bring mild, sunny conditions with a high in the lower 80s. Mostly clear conditions are expected in the overnight hours with a low in the mid-60s anticipated. The rest of the week is expected to shape up as follows:

Wednesday

  • High temperature – Low 80s
  • Low temperature – Mid-60s
  • Rain chances – Not anticipated, but partly cloudy skies are expected overnight

Thursday

  • High temperature – Low 80s
  • Low temperature – Mid-60s
  • Rain chances – Not anticipated, but mostly cloudy conditions are expected overnight

Friday

  • High temperature – Low 80s
  • Low temperature – Mid-60s
  • Rain chances – About a 20 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms in the daytime hours and 30 percent overnight

Forecasters say storm chances increase heading into the weekend to about 50 percent. The anticipated showers should bring temperatures back down into the upper 70s.
