Young Woman Found Dead Off Floribraska Ave; Tampa Police Seek Tips

TAMPA, FL — Tampa police are investigating a homicide in which a dead young woman was found in the 100 block of Floribraska Avenue North.

Officers were sent to the area Friday at 3:15 a.m. after receiving a report of shots fired and discovered the body of the young woman near the road.

Police have not been able to identify the victim. She appears to be a young, light-skinned African American or Hispanic female. She is around 5 feet 9 inches tall and 180 pounds with black or dark brown hair. She also has a faded black tattoo on her right inner forearm that reads "Arthur," with a small heart above it.
