17-Year-Old Arrested For Threatening To Kill Student On Facebook

Detectives have arrested a 17-year-old girl for threatening to shoot a fellow high school student in a Facebook live video.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- Detectives have arrested a 17-year-old girl for threatening to shoot a fellow high school student in a Facebook live video.

The student, 17-year-old Amari Johnson, reportedly posted the live video at about 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, threatening another student at Bayside High School

The victim, a 17-year-old Clearwater resident, told deputies that Johnson told her in advance that she was posting the video and suggested the victim watch it. The victim told her mother who called the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

According to the sheriff's office, Johnson is seen in the video addressing the victim, saying, “Let me just let you f**king know, I stay strapped on go, 24 mother f**king 7!"

Johnson then reportedly picks up what appears to be an AR-15 rifle that she displays to the camera, saying, “A fat-a** AR. I’ll shoot your dumb a**.”

The victim told deputies that Johnson had been bullying her at school.

On Wednesday, May 2, at about 3 a.m., deputies went to Johnson’s home at 1787 Shore Acres Blvd. N.E., St. Petersburg.

Johnson's mother, Lizette Johnson, was cooperative and explained that her daughter did not have access to firearms in their home.

Deputies arrested Johnson for written threats to kill or do bodily injury through electronic communication.

She was transported to Pinellas County Juvenile Assessment Center without incident.
