17-Year-Old Girl Dies After Accidentally Shot In Back
A 17-year-old girl is dead following an accidental shooting early Sunday morning.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- A 17-year-old girl is dead following an accidental shooting early Sunday morning.
According to St. Petersburg Police, at 2:25 a.m., the teen was riding in vehicle at Central Avenue and 58th Street. Jessica Beth Perry, 21, of 19th Avenue South, St. Petersburg, was in the back when it discharged, striking the 17-year-old in the back.
The driver headed to the police department where a police officer was flagged down. The teen subsequently died of her injuries. Her name is not being released until her next of kin has been notified.

Perry was taken into custody and charged with manslaughter.
