2 Arrested in Fatal Home Invasion
The crime occurred Tuesday morning in St. Petersburg, leaving a 22-year-old man dead.
The St. Petersburg Police Department has announced two arrests in connection with a Tuesday morning home invasion robbery that left a 22-year-old man dead.
The crime in question occurred just before 10 a.m. at 2629 11th St. N., Apt. 1. Police say Joshua Walsh was shot and killed during the robbery at his home.
Gregory Savion Nishanna Hunt, 18, of St. Petersburg was brought into custody early Wednesday morning on first-degree murder charges. Hunt, an email from the police department said, was implicated by several witnesses. He “confessed to shooting and killing Walsh during a struggle inside the address of occurrence,” the agency noted.

A second arrest was announced later Wednesday morning. Police say Jovonte Ray Johnson, 20, stands accused of driving the suspect vehicle. Johnson “admitted to participating in the robbery and destroying evidence after the robbery (and) homicide occurred,” the email said
Johnson, a Gulfport resident, faces principal first-degree murder charges, according to jail records.
