Deadly Home Invasion Under Investigation
The incident occurred on 11th Street North Tuesday morning.
The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating a home invasion that left a 22-year-old St. Petersburg man dead.
According to the agency, the crime happened just before 10 a.m. Tuesday at 2629 11th St. N., Apt. 1. Police say suspects entered the victim’s home and shot him.
Joshua David Walsh was taken to a local hospital in critical condition following the shooting, an email to media from the agency stated. Walsh, however, later died from his injuries.

Police say they do not believe Walsh was a random target.
