2 Cars Sought In Rec Center Shooting Investigation: St. Pete Police
Detectives are looking for two cars possibly connected to a Sunday morning shooting outside a St. Pete recreation center, police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Detectives are asking for public assistance in identifying two cars possibly connected to an early Sunday morning shooting outside a recreation center, St. Petersburg Police Department wrote in a Facebook post.
The cars — one black and one white — appear to be newer model Audis or similar makes, the department said. Both cars were caught on video near the shooting. (Watch the video below.)
“We realize the quality isn't the best, but we are hoping someone will recognize the cars and send us tips,” police said.

Just before 4 a.m., a person drove up to a gathering of young adults in the parking lot of the Thomas “Jet” Jackson Recreation Center, 1000 28th Street S., and fired shots into the crowd.
Three people were struck by gunfire and brought to a local hospital. An 18-year-old was treated and released, while two women, ages 20 and 22, remain hospitalized in stable condition, police said.
