ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Two people were killed and two others were injured in a crash Friday morning on Fourth Street South in St. Petersburg, St. Pete police said.

Investigators said an SUV turned in front of a speeding motorcycle on Fourth Street South and Roser Park Drive just before 4:23 a.m. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities. Three people in the SUV were taken to a nearby hospital, where one died and one is in critical condition.

Fourth Street South between Ninth and 11th Avenues South will be closed for several hours for investigations. Please find an alternate route if you normally drive along these streets.
