ST. PETERSBURG, FL – One St. Petersburg Police lieutenant has retired and two others police lieutenants have been demoted for claiming work hours when they weren’t on the job.
The retirement and demotions followed a meeting Wednesday night, June 20, of the St. Petersburg Police Department Command Review Board.
The three day-shift lieutenants -- Dennis Bolender, Cleven Wyatt and Cynthia Davis -- had been under investigation since Jan. 29 after the review board received an anonymous tip claiming the lieutenants for the Uniform Services Bureau had not followed proper check-in procedures.
