Vehicle Photo Released in Attacks on St. Pete Realtors
The man who is accused of attacking two women Wednesday afternoon is believed to be driving a silver Nissan Murano.

The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating two attacks on Realtors that occurred Wednesday afternoon.
According to the agency, the first incident took place just before 1 p.m. in the 1700 block of Oxford Street North as a female real estate agent was showing a home to a man. The man, police wrote in an email to media, pulled out a gun and proceeded to secure the agent’s hands and feet with zip ties.
The man, police said, then placed a ransom call to the woman’s husband. After the call was placed, the man left the home and the woman was able to loosen her feet and escape to a nearby home.

The second case unfolded just before 2 p.m. as another real estate agent was showing a home to a man at 5800 12th. St. N. In that case, the man pulled out a gun and robbed the woman, police wrote.
Neither woman was injured during the attacks, police department spokeswoman Yolanda Fernandez said.

The suspect in both cases is described as a white man in his mid-40s. He is between 5 feet, 5 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches in height and is said to have a medium build. The man was last seen wearing a straw hat, a dark blue shirt and black pants.
Police have released a photo of the vehicle the man is believed to have been driving at the time of the attacks. They ask that anyone with information in the case, or who has seen the vehicle or the suspect call them at 727-893-7780. The vehicle is believed to be a silver Nissan Murano.
Police have notified the local realtors’ association of the attacks.
