
TAMPA, FL — Two Tampa Bay area Gap stores are closing up shop for good after business hours end Tuesday.
The closings are part of an overall consolidation plan announced recently by the retailor. A total of 175 stores are slated to close over the next few years with the first round of closings taking place Tuesday night (Jan. 26).
The two Tampa Bay locations shutting down are at the Citrus Park Town Center in Tampa and at Tyrone Square Mall in St. Petersburg. The International Plaza and Westfield Countryside Clearwater locations will remain open.

Both stores slated for closing are expected to remain open until 9 p.m. Tuesday while offering deeply discounted prices on remaining merchandise.
