2-Year-Old Killed By Father In Fatal Shooting: St. Pete Police

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Two-year-old Armani Creary was fatally shot by his father after a family argument Sunday night at a St. Petersburg home, authorities said.

The toddler and his father, Aaron Creary, 22, lived at the home of the boy's paternal grandparents at 4644 15th Ave. S., according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.

When Aaron got into an argument with his parents just after 8 p.m., he pulled out a gun and it fired, hitting his son, police said.

While driving Armani to the hospital, the father crashed his vehicle at the parking lot of a business at the corner of 15th Avenue South and 34th Street South.

The boy later died of his injuries at the hospital, police said.

Aaron Creary was charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child and violation of probation.
