$25K Reward For Murder Suspect Featured On TV Show: St. Pete Police

A St. Petersburg murder suspect will be featured on "In Pursuit with John Walsh" on Wednesday night.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Petersburg police are reviving efforts to search for a murder suspect who will be featured on a TV show Wednesday night.

Benjamin “Bambi” Williams, who is still at large, will be featured on the show “In Pursuit with John Walsh” at 9 p.m. Eastern time on Investigation Discovery, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.

The episode will also stream on discovery+.

Williams, 39, is wanted for the fatal shooting of his former girlfriend, Joana Peca, in front of her young children on July 31, 2021. She was holding the baby she had with him while she was shot. Her other child was in the back seat, police said.

A $25,000 reward is offered for information leading to his arrest. On Tuesday, detectives distributed wanted flyers for Williams.

He stands 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds, police said.

Reward money is provided by the United States Marshals Service, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and Crime Stoppers of Pinellas County.
