27-Year-Old Woman Killed In Crash Involving Stolen Mercedes

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 27-year-old woman died when the car she was a passenger in was struck by a stolen car Saturday morning.

At 10:14 a.m. Saturday, St. Petersburg Police were called to a hit-and-run crash on 9th Avenue South and 40th Street South.

According to police, a stolen Mercedes struck a Malibu. The driver of the Malibu was seriously injured and the passenger, Saniya Dixon, died later at the hospital.

The driver of the stolen Mercedes fled the scene on foot and is still at large. Anyone with information is asked to contact St. Pete Police at 727-893-7780.
