$2M Scratch-Off Prize Claimed By St. Pete Man: FL Lottery

A Pinellas County man won a $2 million top prize playing the $10 Monopoly Doubler scratch-off game, Florida Lottery said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A Pinellas County man claimed a $2 million top prize playing the $10 Monopoly Doubler scratch-off game, according to a Florida Lottery news release.

Danny Pierce, 64, of St. Petersburg chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of nearly $1.6 million at the Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.

He bought his winning ticket from Blue Nile Food Market at 1600 18th Ave. S. in St. Petersburg. The store will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the ticket.

The $10 Monopoly Doubler features more than $176 million in cash prizes, including eight top prizes of $2 million. The game's overall odds of winning are one-in-3.51.
