2nd Teen Shot, Killed in St. Petersburg This Week
The latest incident happened early Thursday morning.

ST. PETERSBURG – St. Petersburg Police officers are investigating the second fatal shooting of a teenager this week.
According to the agency, officers heard shots fired in the area of 16th Street South around 12:42 a.m. Thursday. A few moments later, they received a call about a person down in the alley of 1828 16th St. S.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found Tyler Lord, 17, dead from a gunshot wound.

Police do not believe the incident is related to the Tuesday death of Gabriel Wallace. Wallace, also 17, was shot and killed outside a home in the 2300 block of 13th Avenue South around 4 p.m. A search for the suspected shooter in Wallace’s death, Abrion Witcher, 18, remains active.
Police are also asking anyone with information about Lord’s death to come forward. Tips may be submitted to the agency by calling 727-893-7780.
