3-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Found In St. Pete Pond

A 3-year-old boy drowned after being discovered in a pond in St. Petersburg Sunday.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 3-year-old boy drowned after being discovered in a pond in St. Petersburg Sunday.

At 11:32 a.m. Jan. 13, St. Petersburg Police were called the Lakewood Estates subdivision after Malik Brown was reported missing. During a search, officers found the child about a block and a half away in a pond in the 1600 block of Alcazar Way South at 11:40 a.m. and began CPR.

The child was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
