5 Things You Need to Know Today: Encore Graduation, Grand Get-Together, Movie Matinee

St. Pete High has a second graduation. There's a get-together hosted by retailers in the Grand Central District. The Rays play at home tonight.

1.) Take Two for St. Pete High Grads: The class of 2011 will get a second graduation ceremony today, after the first one was rained out last week. Families who missed taking those memorable photos will get another shot. The second graduation is indoors, at 7 p.m., in the auditorium, precluding the chance of another drenching rain to disrupt the event.

2.) Meet and Greet: The Grand Central District of businesses is hosting a meet and greet that promises to be a lot of fun. The event takes place from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at Essential Elements, 3001 1st Ave. South. The retailer is celebrating its third anniverary. Association.

3.) Family Movie Matinee: "How to Train Your Dragon" is the title of a free movie playing at the St. Petersburg Main Library, 3745 9th Ave. N., at 2 p.m. This is a perfect way to escape the heat and occupy the kids, now that school is out. Call  727-893-7724 or www.splibraries.org
