Man Sitting In Road Hit By Car, Killed; Police Search For Driver
A man died after a car hit him on 34th Street S in St. Pete Friday morning, and police are searching for the suspect, said St. Pete police.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 58-year-old man was killed early Friday morning in a hit-and-run on 34th Street South in St. Petersburg, said law enforcement officials.
St. Pete police said the victim sat in a lane of travel on 34th Street near 1st Avenue South when a white Nissan Altima that traveled northbound hit him and drove off.
The suspect's vehicle is a 2010-2012 Altima with left front damage and a missing left front fog light bezel.

Anyone with information that can help detectives is asked to call the St. Petersburg Police Department at 727-893-7780.
St. Pete police will not release the name of the victim until the next of kin is notified.
