89-Year-Old Man Dies After Being Hit By Car On 34th Street S.

An 89-year-old man has died after being struck by a car on 34th Street North in St. Petersburg Thursday night.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — An 89-year-old man has died after being struck by a car on 34th Street North in St. Petersburg Thursday night.

According to St. Petersburg Police, around 7:30 p.m. Quynh Van Pham was walking west across 34th Street North in the 3400 block when an Audi sedan traveling south on 34th Street North struck him.

Police said the driver braked and tried to swerve around Pham but the right front corner of the car struck the elderly man.

He was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where he died.
