Organizers say the festival will spotlight world premieres, readings, and workshops while inviting residents to sign up now for ticket alerts and sponsorship opportunities that support the city’s growing arts scene.
4. USF leadership highlights St. Petersburg campus achievements at first campus board meeting of the year (crowsneststpete.com) — USF’s St. Petersburg campus board just welcomed new leadership, highlighted major research and community programs, and reported a healthy budget outlook that affects students and neighbors alike. From a massive Alzheimer’s study to a new Environmental and Oceanographic Sciences building and popular festivals, campus leaders say it’s an especially dynamic moment for St. Pete’s waterfront university.
5. A Florida company's autonomous robot may soon move patients around hospitals (wusf.org) — A Gainesville health-tech startup is opening a new office at St. Petersburg’s spARK Labs by ARK Invest to develop Rovi, an autonomous robot designed to move stretchers and eventually patients in hospitals. With local health systems eager for innovation, the St. Pete hub will support deployments, testing, and travel while aiming to free nurses and doctors from time-consuming transport duties.
