1. ‘Like Adult Summer Camp’: Print St. Pete Offers Summer Workshops (patch.com) — Creative residents in and around St. Petersburg can dive into hands-on printmaking this summer as Print St. Pete Community Letterpress rolls out workshops at its Gulfport studio. From zine camp and queer zines to Lego printmaking and risograph intensives, the schedule offers screen-weary locals a chance to explore tactile art projects and leave with finished pieces.    

2. Body Found In Water Near St. Pete Boat Ramp: Police (patch.com) — St. Petersburg police are investigating after a body was discovered Tuesday morning in the water near the Grandview Boat Ramp along 6th Street South. Authorities believe the deceased is a 66-year-old man reported missing Monday night, and the case is being treated as a possible suicide while the medical examiner determines the official cause of death.    

3. Morning Fire Rips Through St. Petersburg Home, Sends One To Hospital (tampafp.com) — Firefighters rushed to a home near 18th Avenue South and 22nd Street South in St. Petersburg this morning, knocking down heavy flames before they could spread to nearby houses. One person was taken to the hospital in stable condition, and investigators are now working to determine what sparked the blaze while neighbors assess damage and cleanup begins.    

4. Hundreds Expected June 6 for Military Mental Health Event in St. Petersburg (stpetecatalyst.com) — Hundreds of service members, veterans, and neighbors are expected in St. Petersburg on June 6 for the 4th Annual Sgt. Anthony Muhlstadt Defender Ruck, supporting suicide intervention training on military bases. The event at 7700 16th Street North features an opening ceremony at 7:30 a.m. and on-site resources from multiple military and veteran support organizations.    

5. New wastewater facility designed to keep St. Petersburg's sewer system running during major storms (wtsp.com) — St. Petersburg is building a new, storm-hardened operations center at the Southwest Water Reclamation Facility to keep sewer service running during hurricanes and storm surge. City leaders say the $22.2 million project, partly funded by the state, will let staff safely stay on-site, protect critical equipment, and reduce the chance residents are told to stop flushing or doing laundry during future storms.
