Another St. Pete Graffiti Artist Busted
The man is accused of tagging a professional mural.
A 24-year-old St. Petersburg man stands accused of trying to put his own spin on a professionally painted mural on a 6th Street South building.
St. Petersburg Police say the mural at 8 6th St. S. was tagged with the signature “HTWOO The Artist” in the early morning hours of Dec. 18. A search for the person responsible for defacing the mural has been under way ever since.

Jonathan Scott Corbett of 5211 Aragon Way S. was charged with criminal mischief in the case on Wednesday. Police did not say how they linked Corbett, who was already in jail on violation of probation charges, to the crime.
This is the second arrest of a graffiti artist in recent weeks. Jared Hernandez was jailed after being caught on video tagging several downtown buildings with “Av8R.”

Like Hernandez, Corbett faces criminal mischief charges, the department stated in an email to media.
