Batteries Plus Bulbs Opens First St. Petersburg Store

According to a nationwide survey conducted by Batteries Plus Bulbs, the nation's only battery, light bulb and phone repair franchise, 31 percent of Americans have broken their phone in the past year, but 65 percent don't have insurance to cover the repairs.

With the opening of the specialty retailer's first store in St. Petersburg, locals will now have access to product experts and a wide array of specialized options for fixing phones, as well as purchasing automotive batteries, powering essential electronics, and lighting homes and businesses. The new location, like all Batteries Plus Bulbs stores, will offer an unrivaled product selection, in-stock availability, and customer service.

The store, located at 6920 4th Street North, is owned and operated by seasoned franchise owner Steve Cooper. Since opening his first store in Tampa in 1995, Steve has built an empire of nine Batteries Plus Bulbs locations in the greater Tampa area. A former Vice President of Operations at an office supply corporation, Steve attributes growth to the franchise’s ability to capitalize on consumers’ newfound frugal habits.
