Creative Pinellas Emerging Artist Exhibition

This is the first weekend The Gallery at Creative Pinellas in Largo has the organization’s Emerging Artist Exhibition on display. This eighth-annual showcase, featuring works by Kaitlin Crockett, Vanessa Cunto, Thomas Sayers Ellis, Fran Failla, Tyler Gillespie, Antonia Lewandowski, David McCauley, Harriet Monzon-Aguirre, Gaby Rosa and Luci Westphal, is on display through July 21.

Live Love St. Pete Fundraiser

Live Love St. Pete hosts its first fundraiser Friday, 6 to 9 p.m., at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. There will be live music, raffles, cocktails and dinner. Funds raised from this event will enable the non-profit to purchase back-to-school backpacks, supplies, uniforms and other areas of great need for local children.

Chris Stapleton

Country artist Chris Stapleton brings his tour to MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa on Friday. The show features special guests Grace Potter and Nikki Lane. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Tampa Bay Abortion Fund Dance Party

This fundraiser for the Tampa Bay Abortion Fund takes place Friday, 7 p.m., at Shuffle in St. Pete. There will be shuffleboard, raffles, DJs and dancing to raise money for the organization.

Salvador Dali’s 120th Birthday

Born May 11, 1904, this year marks iconic artist Salvador Dalí’s 120th birthday. To celebrate, The Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg is offering 35 percent off gallery admission for $19.04, his birth year, and a variety of on-site happenings.

Siesta Con

This Sarasota-area convention for all things geek is set for Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Robarts Arena. The event features comic and game artists; voice actors; vendors selling comic books, board games, video games, art, crafts, and more; cosplay contests; workshops; panels on various topics; and more.

Lucky Ducky Race for Pace

Adopt a duck to benefit Pace Center for Girls and watch thousands of rubber ducks race down the Manatee River at Caddy’s Bradenton on Saturday, 11 a.m.

Shirley’s BreastFest Music Festival & Cancer Benefit

This free fundraiser offers a full day of live music taking over two stages Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., at the Lakeland Elks Lodge. There will also be silent auctions, raffles, kids activities, food trucks and more.

Sunshine City Scare

This annual horror convention, taking place Saturday and Sunday at the St. Petersburg Coliseum, has a “Five Nights at Freddy’s” theme this year. The event features more than 100 vendors, voice actors and performers, contests, cosplay workshops, panel discussions, video games, and other interactive activities.

Artists for Impact Makers Market

The Pathfinder Makers Market hosted by Artists for Impact at Pathfinder Outdoor Education in St. Petersburg takes place Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. In addition to an art market, there will be a clothing swap and live music.

Mother’s Day Market

3 Daughters Brewing in St. Petersburg hosts a Mother’s Day Market with more than 50 vendors Saturday, starting at noon.

Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Festival

This cultural festival celebrating Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month returns to Tampa’s Curtis Hixon Waterfront park Saturday, noon to 9 p.m.
