Kostar Kustom’s Solo Art Show “Florida on my Mind” has opened in St. Petersburg, FL for a two month exhibition at Bayboro Brewing. Opening Reception and Book Signing for “Where the Florida Things Live” written by Alice Absolutely and beautifully illustrated by Kostar takes place on Sunday, August 16th from 2-6pm.
Kostar is bringing their unique style of artwork bursting with Florida-centric vibes to Bayboro Brewing, showing original artwork from the book, as well as playful, vibrant, original artwork that celebrates Florida and the creatures that dwell here.
Viewers will have the opportunity to own a piece of the book illustration, laid out as massive storyboard wall, purchase a signed hardback copy of “Where the Florida Things Live”, enjoy an exhibit filled with other original artworks including fresh pieces never shown before and created specifically for the show.
A QR code for people viewing the exhibit to order the book before & after the reception will be on site. This exhibit is curated by James E. Hartzell and is available for public viewing during Bayboro’s opening hours 7 days a week until the end of September.
Closing Reception will take place Sunday, September 27th from 2-6pm.
This is definitely a showcase you’ll not want to miss; a celebration of local visual artist Kostar’s “beautifully weird” imagination with a new twist on a classic adventure storybook.
