The Crusaders fall to Admiral Farragut, 38-24, in the Class 2A region final.
The dream season for the Canterbury Crusaders is over, after losing to Admiral Farragut, 38-24, Friday night in the state playoffs.
According to TampaBay.com, the Crusaders offense never gained momentum because was hampered by a shoulder injury.
"The Crusaders were supposed to counter with a devastating running game of their own. But tailback Brent O’Neal separated a shoulder in practice two weeks ago."

In September, Canterbury Coach Bill Jones said that the win made him feel like this was going to be a special season. “We won the South Conference championship two years ago and at that time it was the biggest win,” Jones said. The win over Admiral Farragut “trumps that big time.”
