Car Crash Involving Lakewood High Students Kills 1
St. Petersburg Police say one Lakewood High School student is dead following a single-car crash Tuesday, April 24, shortly after 2 p.m.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Petersburg Police say one Lakewood High School student is dead following a single-car crash Tuesday, April 24, shortly after 2 p.m., at 54th Avenue South and 16th Street, just outside of the high school.
Three Lakewood High School seniors were in the car. Bryson Welton-Williams, 18, the driver, was ejected from the Toyota Camry and died at the scene. Joshua Heath, 18, and Ramcharan "Trey" Lattimore, 18, have unknown injuries. Heath, who had to be extricated from the car, is in critical condition. Lattimore was able to crawl away from the crash and is in serious condition.
The three students had just left the high school and were headed west on 54th Avenue South when Welton-Williams lost control and hit a tree.

Guidance counselors will be on hand at the high school Wednesday for students.
