Car Crashes Into Home After Fleeing St. Pete Police

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Two men have been arrested after St. Petersburg Police said they fled officers during a traffic stop and then crashed into a home.

At 8:20 p.m. Wednesday, officers attempted to stop a 2019 white Camaro at 49th Avenue North and 16th Street North. The Camaro fled and officers did not pursue it.

A short time later, the Camaro crashed into a house at 4634 19th St. N. and the two people inside the car got out and fled. Officers found narcotics in the car.

Police later caught up with the two men and arrested them.

No one was hurt inside the home.
