Child Porn Found In Registered Sex Offender's Home: Sheriff

A St. Petersburg man who is a registered sex offender faces possession of child pornography charges, deputies said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A registered sex offender of St. Petersburg was arrested Wednesday on possession of child pornography charges, a Pinellas County Sheriff's Office news release said.

Dominick Morales, 24, allegedly uploaded child pornography to an electronic device through a social media application.

A tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children helped detectives identify Morales, and a search warrant for the suspect's home and electronics was served Wednesday, according to investigators.

Detectives said Morales admitted to possessing child pornography.

He was taken to the Pinellas County Jail following the arrest, deputies said.
