Clearwater Beach Man Killed In Hit And Run Crash: St. Pete Police
Hollis Heatherley was struck by a black vehicle that then left the intersection of 1st Avenue North and 16th Street North after the crash.
ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. — St. Petersburg Police are continuing to search for a driver that struck and killed a 58-year-old Clearwater Beach man Sunday night, police said.
Hollis Heatherley was hit by a black vehicle while he was in the crosswalk and attempting to cross at the intersection of 1st Avenue North and 16th Street North around 9:30 p.m., police said.
The vehicle, which was traveling north on 1st Avenue, hit Heatherley and knocked him to the ground, police said. The driver then left the scene and remains at large, police said.

Police said that the car sustained damage in the accident, but police do not have any more details on the vehicle at this time. Anyone who has information about the incident is asked to contact the St. Petersburg Police Department at (727) 893-7780 and ask for the traffic section.
