Composite, Video Released Of Fake Police Who Pulled Over Driver

St. Petersburg Police have released a composite of a man who is pretending to be a police officer and a video of a car he may be driving.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – St. Petersburg Police have released a composite of a man who is pretending to be a police officer and a video of a car that may have been driven by the impersonator.

Working with the victim, police created this digital composite image of a man who stopped a woman around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, March 22, claiming to be a police officer. He is described as muscular, over 6 feet tall with dark skin.

The fake officer pulled the woman over for a traffic stop north of 5th Avenue South and west of 34th Street.

He had a badge and was driving a white sedan similar to an unmarked cruiser. St. Petersburg Police have released a video of a car that may have been driven by the impersonator. It was seen circling the area where the fake cop pulled the victim over. Investigators would like to speak to the driver.
