Councilor Newton Organizes Youth Summit for March 16
Students from area middle and high schools are invited, as well as college students. There will be a youth-led discussion followed by a Q&A session with the kids.
ST. PETERSBURG - Council Member Wengay Newton will host a Youth Summit on Wednesday, March 16, at the Pinellas County Job Corps Center, 500 22nd St. South.
The Summit, which starts at 4 p.m., will be composed of students from middle and high schools, as well as colleges. There will be a panel discussion, and an opportunity for young people in the audience to ask questions.
The Summit also will have live entertainment, educational resource booths,
a tour of the Job Corps facility and refreshments. Â Invited guests will
include elected officials, community leaders, clergy, judges and City staff.
