Creative Mornings Tampa Bay Monthly Speaker Series Connects, Inspires Creative Community
The monthly free breakfast series Creative Mornings Tampa Bay connects, inspires and supports the area's creative community.
TAMPA BAY, FL β Since 2017, the Creative Mornings Tampa Bay breakfast series has connected and supported the areaβs creative community through free monthly presentations, each one focused on a different theme and serving coffee and a light breakfast.
βThis is not your normal networking event or breakfast series,β host Bree Tramontana told Patch. βItβs about inspiration and connection. Every time people come out to this, we want them to walk away inspired.β
This monthβs presentation takes place Friday, 8:30 a.m., at Vertical Ventures in St. Petersburg.

Augustβs speaker is Carrie Boucher, the founder/director of NOMADstudio (Neighborhood-Oriented Mobile Art + Design Studio), with the appropriate theme, Nomad. Her studio operates out of a bus that travels throughout the region to bring art into places like juvenile detention centers, childrenβs group homes and neighborhoods impacted by poverty.
Creative Mornings Tampa Bay launched as a St. Pete chapter in 2017 before rebranding to include the entire region in 2023 after the COVID-19 pandemic. The concept has chapters around the country.
With that rebranding, Tramontana took over as the Tampa Bay chapter host. It made sense to expand the groupβs reach at the time, she said.

βWe already had a lot of people from Tampa coming to St. Petersburg events,β she said.

Organizers were worried that if a new, separate chapter launched in Tampa the two groups might compete for an audience.
βWe didnβt want to steal from each other,β Tramontana said. βWe thought it would be best to be one entity.β
There are also a number of creative companies and individuals in Tampa, she added. βIt makes a lot of sense just moving across the bay. We find thereβs a lot of crossover.β
Creative Mornings Tampa Bay hosts occasional presentations at Hotel Haya in Ybor City.
Everyone, even those who donβt work in creative industries, are invited to attend the breakfast series.
βOur motto is, βEveryone is creative and everyone is welcome,ββ Tramontana said. βItβs really about how we embody creativity β¦ We push the limits of what creativity is.β
