TAMPA BAY, FL — Looking for something fun to do this weekend in the Tampa Bay area? There’s something for every interest - Earth Day events, Operation Recovery Golf Tournament, a Lilly Pulitzer fundraiser and a Celtic festival.

Spring for the Arts

This fundraiser for St. Petersburg’s Creative Clay, which makes the arts accessible to people with disabilities, features live music, a dance-theater performance, food from Island Flavors and Tings, a silent auction and an opportunity drawing, as well as the book release party for the new children’s book, “When the Tube Shows Up, It’s a Party.” The event takes place Friday, 6 to 9 p.m., at Nova 535.

Celtic Cultural Festival

This free event features Celtic traditional dancing, music and art Friday, 7:30 p.m., on the Straz Center’s Riverwalk stage.

Operation Recovery 1st Annual Golf Tournament

This new golf tournament honors service members, veterans, first responders and their families and raises funds for Operation Recovery’s programming. The event kicks off Saturday, 7:30 a.m., at Westchase Golf Club.

Earth Day Butterfly Count & Critter Encounters

On this butterfly walk, be on the lookout for all kinds of butterfly species with the North American Butterfly Association Saturday, 9 a.m., at Tampa’s Gadsden Park. Following the butterfly count, head to the nearby Little Red Wagon Nursery for critter encounters, crafts and activities, and butterfly releases at 1 and 3 p.m.

Drive Electric Earth Day Lakeland

Learn about electric vehicles and charging options Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at downtown Lakeland’s Munn Park. Local electric vehicle owners will showcase their cars and answer questions.

Pet Expo

The Holiday Lake Estates Civic Association presents a Pet Expo Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event offers vaccinations, microchipping, ear cleaning, nail trimming, anal gland extraction, heartworm tests, K-9 demonstrations, adoptions, pet portraits, pet vendors and more.

Planes, Trains & Automobiles

The 11th annual Planes, Trains and Automobiles event is back at Plant City Airport Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., for a day filled with aircraft on display, a car show, model train layouts, food trucks and more. This event is presented by Tampa International Airport.

Multi-Sensory Earth Day

Selby Botanical Gardens, partnering with Lighthouse Vision Loss Education Center and Suncoast Science Center, presents this Earth Day event Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at its Historic Spanish Point campus in Osprey. Engage with nature using all your senses: taste, touch, smell, hearing and sight.

Motherland Music Festival

Williams Park will be transformed Saturday, 4 to 8 p.m., into a village unlike any other before in the city, welcoming movement performers, stilt walkers, food trucks, service and goods vendors, popular DJ Austen van der Bleek, Queen of X, the Jubilees trio, and headliner Siobhan Monique.

Earth Day Art & Music Fest

Fogartyville Community Media & Arts Center hosts an Earth Day Art & Music Fest Saturday, 4 to 7 p.m. This free event features live music, art, workshops, a native plant sale and vendors.

Bright Nights: A Lilly Pulitzer Fashion Show & Cocktail Party

The Junior League of Sarasota hosts its signature annual fundraiser Saturday, 6:30 p.m., at The Mall at University Town Center. In partnership with local Lilly Pulitzer retail teams, the runway show will feature new hand-painted prints. Inspired by Palm Beach, the collection includes new custom colors, and playful prints featuring mermaids and flamingos, along with ruffle and fringe details to tie it all together.
